Webconverger is opensource software using official Debian packages, where the Debian social contract applies. Even the build process is free software. It does unfortunately include the non-free software Adobe Flash.

Currently Webconverger is not doing a fantastic job at this. Webc relies on users to use the Debian package Web interface and the [[package list|txt]]. Or better still live helper’s lh_source command.

Apple MacOSX has some Free software under the hood and a free Web rendering engine Webkit. Well done Apple, though everything open source would be far better.
